12/9/2017 2 Comments Christmas SwapsEach year my Vienna Stamp Club group gathers for a fun meal and tag swap. I spent so much time creating a fun Christmas card for each member, that I ran short on time for my swaps. Fortunately, I'd saved some good pins and CASED Stesha Bloodhart's Merry Little Christmas tags from her recent blog hop. They were a big hit, didn't take long to make, and I was happy to use lots of fun products from the Holiday catalog, like the mini ornaments and Green Sprigs (fake fir branches). First I want to share the card I designed for my crafty friends -- I paired the You've Got Style and Half Full stamp sets to come up with a fun card that had a built in pocket for the personalized bone folders that I ordered from fellow demonstrator Tamra Davis of TaDa Stampers. I just love the You've Got Style set, the woman looks like Ruth Bader Ginsberg to me, and she is having fun! I knew she needed to be dressed like Mrs. Claus, in a red fur coat with white sparkly trim. I had fun playing with my new Blends markers to color the image, I'm still working on blending but I was generally happy with the result. I then used Dazzling Diamonds on the collar, cuffs and hat to give a perfect sparkle. Layered on a Cherry Cobbler scallop oval, over a piece of the Year of Cheer DSP and a mat of gold foil, accented with rhinestones with a gold metallic edged ribbon bow, she is ready for the season. And the greetings from Half Full were perfect - Mrs. Claus is dreaming of a white Christmas, but red will do if the white runs out! Here is a picture of the 12 finished cards - wish I already had my Stamparatus, it would have lining up the sentiments inside the card a lot easier! The inside contained the sentiment, a little more coloring, a touch of washi tape and the fun personalized bone folder. Check back tomorrow to see all the tag swaps - which were just fabulous!
